Zoë had a lot on her plate this past week. First we attended a wedding in Oak Brook where my friends Aswin and Sudha got married. Aswin was a friend from medical school, and we had the privilege of experiencing a traditional Indian wedding. It was really a lovely wedding. Zoë had fun meeting other kids at the wedding as well as exploring the hotel. I was able to catch up with some former classmates.
My sister Becky was then in town for a week mainly to hang out with Zoë. A lot of activities were planned. I missed most of the events because of work, but Becky and Lisa took plenty of pictures. Because of the recent warm weather that Chicago experienced, they were able to attend a BBQ hosted by our friends Irv and Jamie. Zoë had a great time hanging out with their kids Sam and Ellis.
As usual Becky took a multitude of pictures. While Lisa and I were at work she played with Zoë in the apartment
as well as took her to the playground,
Lincoln Park Zoo
and Navy Pier Children's Museum.
We enjoyed having her, and we know for sure that Zoë did too.

Communicatin'
Zoë learns a new word everyday and has been expressing herself verbally. She especially likes to imitate animals sounds. Here is a short compilation of what she has learned lately. Our favorite is her imitation of a fish.

Weekend in Waukegan
Lisa and I had a day off that overlapped this past weekend so we decided to visit my Aunt Amy and Uncle Ken in Libertyville near Waukegan, IL which is located about a 45 minute drive from Chicago. We enjoyed Chinese hot pot for lunch, and they bought Zoë a stuffed automaton panda bear which she loved to play with.

Wedding
Lisa's brother, Bryan, and his fiance, Lindsey, got married this weekend at the Chicago Cultural Center attended by family and close friends. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards we went to an Indian restaurant for lunch. Zoë enjoyed her first wedding ceremony especially since there were some cousins of similar age.
