Summer splish/splash

The weather has been fantastic the past week with temps in the low 70s. Mom was at work on saturday so it was just Zoë and Dad. For the July 4th weekend I therefore decided to take her to one of the many Chicago public pools for a swim. Uncle Bryan met us at the pool as well. At first, Zoë was very cautious and at times scared (see photos) but she warmed up very quickly to the kiddie pool area and soon was splashing the water like a pro. Afterwards we all went out for good Mexican food at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants (the best orchata and fish tacos) in Logan Square called El Cid.
