We are fortunate to be living just steps from a free as well as the oldest zoo in the country, the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was my first day off in 2 weeks, I was tired, and I was looking forward to spending some quality family time. The family decided it was a good time to visit our animal neighbors. Zoë is now able to appreciate the things going on around her (she was always very focused but now she expresses if she's really content with what she sees). We've noticed she especially likes animals. For example, she has taken a liking to our cats, though Aslan does not like having his hair pulled. We normally pass the zoo in our running route so it was a natural stop this saturday. We also saw some street performers in the zoo including a juggling act. Afterwards, it was chill time at home while Zoë played it up again for the camera before heading out for sushi.
