Zoë and I then headed to the beach which is really close to our home. She wasn't a huge fan of the waves (I dipped her feet in the cold water) nor was she a fan of the hot sand. I think we were nearing her nap time so we ran back home after the beach. I got a lot of sand on my legs which I tracked everywhere in the house.

After a baby nap for Zoë we met up with my friends Marian and Ray, both residents in my program, for the Chicago Korean festival at Chicago's Korea Town. We had beef kalbi fresh off the grill, chicken skewers and ended the evening with a Korean dessert called pat bing soo which is ice cream, fruits, sweet bean and mochi on top of shaved ice. Delicious!

Zoë went to bed late so we slept in till 8am, shortly before mom got home from her call shift.
